Dr. Alan Osborn is the Curator of Anthropology and Director of the Nebraska Archaeological Survey at the University of Nebraska State Museum. Dr. Osborn will speak about the methods Gilder used to expose large areas of ancient communities as his methods for Plains archaeology have been used in the 100 years since. He will also speak about what made Gilder's archaeology unique and forward-thinking in terms of items collected.
