Pileated Woodpecker and Spring Bird Hike

Grab your binoculars and join us for a Naturalist guided hike through the Wetlands in search of Pileated Woodpeckers and other birds that have started their spring migration!

Pileated Woodpeckers are known to be uncommon in the Forest. However, there have been more frequent sightings at the Wetlands. The guided hike will consist of searching for the Pileated Woodpecker’s nesting spot and looking for other spring migratory birds.

The program will be from 9:00am-10:30am, traversing through easy to moderate terrain.  Be prepared with good walking footwear and bring a water bottle. Binoculars are encouraged; extra binoculars will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Minimum of 5 and maximum of 20 people. Pre-registration is required.

This event is $10 for members and $18 for non-members. Members must sign in to receive discount.
