Pileated Woodpecker and Spring Bird Hike

Grab your binoculars and join us for a Naturalist guided hike through the wetlands in search of Pileated Woodpeckers!

Pileated Woodpeckers are known to be uncommon in the Forest. However, there have been sightings of at least one pair in the wetlands. The guided hike will consist of searching for the Pileated Woodpecker’s nesting spot and looking for other spring migratory birds.

The guided hike will be from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM, traversing through easy to moderate terrain. Binoculars are encouraged; extra binoculars will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

Minimum of 5 and maximum of 15 people per event. Pre-registration is required.

This event is $5 for members and $15 for non-members. Members must sign in to receive discount.
