Join us for an interactive program about Owl pellets! Owls eat insects and small rodents like mice. The parts of their diet that they cannot digest such as fur and bones are then regurgitated as a pellet. During this program, you will be able to dissect an owl pellet of your own!
Owl pellet to-go bag: All registrants will receive an owl pellet bag, which will include two owl pellets and other fun materials for the program.
Bag pick-up is June 11: Please arrive in front of the nature center at the time you signed up at and do not exit your car. Someone will greet you with your owl pellet bag and a live owl!
Program date is June 12 - Watch live via Zoom: Participants will also be able to watch and interact with a Fontenelle Forest Raptor Recovery as they dissect an owl pellet live via Zoom. This program can be accessed by Zoom on a laptop or mobile device, with internet access. A link will be emailed to all registrants the day prior to the program.
Cost: This program is $10 for members and non-members. Fee includes 1 owl pellet bag and 1 device registration for Zoom program.
