(ED Public Program) Stargazing at Neale Woods

Can you find Orion in the night sky? What about Canis Major? Gemini? Forget the Big Dipper and head out to Neale Woods to enjoy some February constellations during a night of stargazing!

Our event will begin with a brief evening hike on dirt-packed trails as weather permits through the prairie and forest. Then as night falls, we will watch for stars together while learning about seasonal constellations and general astronomy.

This event will run from 6:30 to 8:00 PM. Make sure to dress appropriately for the weather, wear good walking shoes, and bring a water bottle. Please bring a folding chair or blanket to sit on while stargazing and be ready to hike a short distance on easy to moderate terrain with your chair to our stargazing area.
