Join Omaha-based creative and mental health advocate Wendy Townley of Wendy Crafts for a hands-on junk journal workshop here at Fontenelle Forest. This workshop is perfect for both seasoned crafters and beginners alike.
Junk journaling is a unique creative practice where you transform everyday ephemera and mixed media into a beautiful, lasting record of meaningful words and personal expression. It’s an accessible creative outlet that reduces stress, promotes mindfulness, and provides a space for self-expression and reflection.
You are encouraged to bring your favorite quotes, phrases, lines of poetry, song lyrics, or prayers, which will serve as the inspiration for your journal's unique pages. The workshop materials place a heavy emphasis on botanicals, nature, and flowers.
All supplies will be provided, including natural elements recently collected on the grounds of Fontenelle Forest. Attendees are invited to bring their own materials to use and even share.
You’ll leave with the beginning of your new junk journal, along with a handful of supplies to keep you crafting in the days and weeks ahead.
