(ED Public Program) Beetles in the Wetlands: Community Science Day

Friday June 19

Other dates...

8:30 PM  –  10:30 PM

Are you passionate about conservation? Does community science pique your interest? Do you enjoy watching rolling logs and seeing what creatures are underneath? This might be the program for you!

Join us in the Wetlands as we’re joined by entomology enthusiasts from the Omaha Bug Symposium! Plan for a short night hike on easy terrain as we search for beetles, millipedes, and other creepy crawlies that come out at night in the Wetlands. We'll end our night examining the creatures that visit our light trap. Long pants and bug spray are HIGHLY encouraged. We recommend that participants bring their own flashlights or headlamps or borrow some from us on a first-come, first-served basis. There are no facilities at the Wetlands, so plan accordingly.

This program is geared toward adults and families with science-minded children due to the upper-level concepts and activities we will be engaging with.
