Why do leaves change their color in the fall? Why are some leaves red while others are yellow or brown? It’s time to talk about the phenology of Fall and how the plants and animals of the Forest prepare for the colder seasons! 

Acorn Academy meets every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:30 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Fontenelle Forest Nature Center. This program is for children ages 6+. Acorn Academy is $8 per child. Registration is required. Class size is limited to 15 students.
